Full-Time Activities Director About the Position We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activities Director to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. The Activities Director is responsible for planning and coordinating engaging daily activities that promote socialization, creativity, independence, and overall quality of life for our residents. The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults, builds genuine relationships with residents, and understands that meaningful activities are an important part of providing exceptional care. Responsibilities Plan and lead a variety of daily activities based on residents' interests, abilities, and individual needs. Create opportunities for residents to socialize, build friendships, and remain active and engaged. Organize games, crafts, music, exercise, educational programs, entertainment, outings, and other recreational activities. Encourage residents to participate while respecting their individual preferences and abilities. Develop activities that accommodate residents with different physical, cognitive, and social needs. Build positive relationships with residents and learn about their interests, hobbies, backgrounds, and personal preferences. Coordinate special events, celebrations, birthdays, holidays, and other meaningful occasions. Work closely with nursing and other departments to ensure activities support residents' overall well-being. Maintain accurate activity calendars, documentation, and records as required. Communicate with families, volunteers, entertainers, and community organizations when appropriate. Maintain a welcoming, positive, and inclusive atmosphere throughout the activities program. Ensure activities are conducted safely and in accordance with facility policies and applicable regulations. What We're Looking For Activities Director Certified A caring and enthusiastic individual who genuinely enjoys working with seniors. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Creativity and the ability to develop activities that appeal to a variety of interests and abilities. Dependability and the ability to work independently while being an effective member of the care team. Previous experience working with older adults, in long-term care, or in an activities/recreation setting is preferred.
