Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and hands-on Facilities Manager to work with management to oversee the maintenance, safety, and reliability of our facility. This role is critical to ensuring uninterrupted operations, compliance with regulatory requirements, and a safe, efficient environment for production, employees, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting industrial operations, managing building systems, coordinating contractors, and driving preventive maintenance initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily facilities operations including building maintenance, utilities, and support services.
  • Ensure reliable operation of critical facility systems such as electrical, plumbing, compressed air, fire protection, wastewater, and access control.
  • Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and support production continuity.
  • Coordinate repairs, inspections, and service activities for facility infrastructure and equipment.
  • Partner with cross-departmental teams to support site operations and resolve facility-related issues.
  • Manage contractors, vendors, and service providers, including scope definition, scheduling, performance monitoring, and invoice review.
  • Monitor facility budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, building, and operational regulations. Maintain PPE organization and active member of Safety Committee.
  • Support emergency response planning and act quickly during equipment failures, utility disruptions, or facility incidents.
  • Oversee space planning, office and shop-floor support areas, facility upgrades, and capital improvement projects.
  • Complete specified janitorial and cleaning duties.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards, maintenance needs, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including maintenance logs, inspection records, permits, and compliance reports. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of facilities management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, utility infrastructure, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Experience managing vendors, contractors, and maintenance budgets.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, environmental, and facility compliance requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CMMS, maintenance tracking tools, or similar systems. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a high-volume or continuous-production manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, TPM, or reliability-centered maintenance principles.
  • Project management experience with facility renovations or capital projects.
  • Knowledge of energy management, sustainability, or utility optimization.
  • Leadership experience supervising facility staff or coordinating cross-functional teams. Working Conditions
  • This role involves both office and plant-floor activities.
  • May require occasional evening, weekend, or emergency response support.
  • Personal protective equipment may be required in certain areas of the facility.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
