Job Description

Facilities Director 28-Restaurant McDonald's Franchise Organization Position Summary The Facilities Lead is responsible for leading the maintenance and facilities strategy across our 28-restaurant McDonald's franchise organization. This position ensures our restaurants remain safe, operational, clean, and well-maintained through strong leadership, preventative maintenance, organization, and problem-solving.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who enjoys building systems, developing people, and preventing problems before they occur. They are highly organized, tech-savvy, resourceful, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change daily.

Key Responsibilities Lead the facilities and maintenance function across 28 restaurant locations. Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to maintenance technicians and support team members. Develop work schedules, assign priorities, and ensure projects are completed safely and on time. Build a culture of ownership, urgency, safety, and continuous improvement. Manage the preventative maintenance program to maximize equipment reliability and minimize restaurant downtime. Conduct regular facility inspections and proactively identify maintenance opportunities. Coordinate repairs with internal maintenance staff, restaurant leadership, and outside contractors. Prioritize work orders based on operational impact, food safety, guest experience, and business needs. Utilize maintenance software, technology, and reporting tools to organize work, track progress, and improve efficiencies. Manage vendor relationships, repair costs, service contracts, and project timelines. Assist with remodels, capital improvement projects, and equipment installations. Maintain accurate maintenance records, warranties, equipment histories, and compliance documentation. Ensure restaurants consistently meet company standards for safety, cleanliness, and appearance. Respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed. Qualifications We're looking for someone who demonstrates: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop others. Excellent organizational and planning abilities. Strong technology skills and the ability to leverage software to improve efficiency. A proactive mindset that identifies and solves problems before they impact operations. Resourcefulness and sound decision-making under pressure. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. The ability to prioritize multiple projects across multiple locations. General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, refrigeration, and building maintenance. A hands-on attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed. A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through. The ability to perform in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Preferred Experience Leadership experience managing maintenance teams or facilities operations. Experience in restaurant, retail, hospitality, or multi-site facilities management. Experience managing contractors and outside vendors. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, maintenance management software (CMMS), and mobile technology. Valid driver's license with the ability to travel regularly between restaurant locations.
Compensation & BenefitsCompensation Base Salary:
$60,000-$70,000, based on experience and qualifications
