We are looking for a Facilities Specialist who will be responsible for managing maintenance, repair, and capital improvement activity across an assigned portfolio of stores. This role oversees reactive repairs, preventive maintenance programs, and capital projects, ensuring stores are maintained to GNC standards in a timely and cost-effective manner. The position partners with vendors, landlords, and internal teams to resolve issues, control expenses, and support store operations.
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance & Repair ManagementManage break/fix and preventive maintenance activity across an assigned store portfolioReview, approve, and track service requests for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairsMake timely decisions on repair vs. replacement based on cost, urgency, and asset conditionEnsure issues are resolved quickly to minimize impact on store operationsVendor & Landlord CoordinationManage relationships with service vendors and ensure quality, cost, and responsiveness meet expectationsCoordinate with landlords on property-related repairs and pursue reimbursements where applicableResolve code compliance and regulatory issues with municipalities and third-party partnersCapital Projects & Cost ControlIdentify and manage capital repair and replacement projects within assigned regionDevelop scopes of work, review bids, and support vendor selectionTrack project progress, ensuring completion on time and within budgetMonitor expenses and provide budget-to-actual analysis and variance explanationsReporting & Process SupportPrepare reporting on maintenance activity, vendor performance, and capital spendSupport development of process improvements and cost-saving initiativesMaintain accurate records of repairs, assets, and project activityCross-Functional SupportPartner with Store Operations and other internal teams to resolve maintenance issues and support initiativesSupport energy efficiency and equipment upgrade programs as neededSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Facilities, or related field; or equivalent experience3-5+ years of facilities, property management, or retail maintenance experienceStrong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings preferredStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills with ability to work across vendors and internal teamsProficiency in Microsoft Office and facilities/work order systemsSelf-motivated with strong attention to detailGNC Holdings, LLC is an Equal Opportunity EmployerSimilar remote jobs
