As an Environmental Services Specialist, you will help ensure our facilities remain clean, safe, and ready to support learning, research, athletics, and community engagement. What You'll Do As a member of the Facilities team, you will: Perform routine custodial and environmental services in assigned campus buildings. Clean, sanitize, and maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, laboratories, common areas, and other university facilities. Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and other approved cleaning methods. Empty trash and recycling containers and replenish custodial supplies. Assist with campus event setup and breakdown, including tables, chairs, and meeting spaces. Safely operate custodial equipment and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with university safety procedures. Follow health and safety practices related to Bloodborne Pathogens and workplace sanitation. Help maintain an attractive, welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, visitors, and community partners. Perform other related custodial and maintenance duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Successful candidates will demonstrate: Knowledge of custodial cleaning methods and equipment. Ability to safely read, understand, and follow cleaning product labels and safety warnings. Strong work ethic with attention to detail. Dependability, professionalism, and excellent customer service. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Physical ability to perform custodial duties, including standing, walking, lifting, bending, pushing, and carrying equipment and supplies throughout the workday.
