Job Description

SUMMARY The Full-Time Cleanup Technician is a hands-on member of the Bristol Motor Speedway Operations team responsible for keeping the Speedway, Dragway, and supporting facilities clean and ready for guests, employees, races, and special events. We are looking for someone who works hard, is dependable, takes pride in their work, and is willing to do whatever needs to be done. Cleanup is the primary responsibility of this position, with support for painting and other Operations work as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleanup & Facility Readiness Perform daily cleanup throughout the Speedway, Dragway, offices, suites, grandstands, restrooms, concourses, parking areas, and other facility spaces Sweep, mop, vacuum, pressure wash, remove trash and debris, clean restrooms, and perform other routine cleaning duties Help prepare the facility before races, meetings, rentals, and special events and assist with post-event cleanup Keep work areas, cleaning supplies, and equipment clean and organized General Operations Support Assist the Paint team with painting, surface preparation, touch-up work, and cleanup as assigned Assist with Speedway in Lights installation and removal, event setup and teardown, moving materials, and other facility projects Be willing to step outside normal cleanup duties and help wherever Operations needs support Safety & Equipment Care Follow BMS safety procedures and use cleaning products, tools, ladders, lifts, and equipment properly Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or facility concerns to the Cleanup Supervisor
NON-EVENT TIME HOURS
Normal business hours are 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday. Some weekends and evenings will be necessary based on business needs.
EVENT TIME HOURS
Hours during race time may increase to 14 or more hours per day, with weekend requirements and additional hours as assigned.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel to other Speedway Motorsports tracks may be necessary. It is not anticipated that this would exceed 10% of the time
