Job Description

Overview Blue Ridge Behavioral Health is seeking a proactive, self-motivated Facilities Coordinator to oversee the maintenance, safety, and day-to-day operational readiness of our Kingsport facility. This is a highly autonomous, individual-contributor role as the Facilities Coordinator will independently manage building and grounds upkeep and serve as the primary point of contact for outside vendors and contractors (fire and life safety, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, and others). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable driving projects and vendor relationships forward with minimal oversight, ensuring our facility remains safe, compliant, and welcoming for clients, families, and staff. Duties Experience coordinating facility maintenance, building operations, or vendor management; experience in a healthcare, behavioral health, or other licensed residential setting is a plus. Working knowledge of core building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety) sufficient to communicate effectively with vendors, ask the right questions, and identify problems. Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently; this role requires strong initiative and follow-through with minimal day-to-day supervision. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple vendor relationships, schedules, and compliance deadlines at once. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; comfort learning a maintenance-tracking or CMMS system as one is implemented. Familiarity with fire/life safety codes and healthcare facility licensing requirements applicable to Tennessee behavioral health facilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with vendors, contractors, clinical staff, and leadership. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; role may require local trips to meet vendors or source materials. Join us as a Facilities Coordinator to lead our facilities operations with energy, expertise, and a commitment to safety. Your leadership will ensure our environment remains safe, efficient, and prepared for future growth!
