Woodworking Full Job Description Summary:
The Facilities Manager will join laity and staff in a team ministry for our diverse faith community in keeping with the St. Luke's Vision Plan, overseeing the facilities and ensuring the day-to-day operations of the church run smoothly.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all buildings and systems are properly maintained and properly functioning including, but not limited to lighting and electrical, plumbing, HVAC and alarms (Fire & Burglar) 2. Complete minor repairs as necessary and practical except for equipment maintained under existing contracts 3. Report to Trustees all major maintenance needs and present proposals and/or contracts for completion of necessary work. Prepare and report on a maintenance schedule to the Trustees who will provide guidance on prioritization of work 4. Source maintenance / service contracts and communicate with vendors and contractors related to maintenance issues 5. Oversee all grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, irrigation systems, and chemical treatment for all lawns, cleaning and weeding all planting beds, ensuring trash is cleared routinely and at least weekly and before church services on Sunday from church ground and clearing ice and snow from walkways 6. Ensure proper set-up for all meetings and events as scheduled on the Church calendar 7. Ensure all buildings are properly cleaned by cleaning staff, ensuring all restrooms, kitchens and classrooms are properly stocked with paper products, soap, deodorizers, etc. and maintain proper inventory of consumable supplies including cleaning supplies, paper products, light bulbs and other necessities. Prepare and report on a products inventory schedule to the Trustees who will provide guidance on prioritization of cleaning and products inventory . 8. Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance of equipment not covered under maintenance contracts. 9. Ensure maintenance expenses stay within budgeted limits 10. Maintain proper scheduling of Heating and Cooling of all spaces based on Church calendar 11. Perform any and all other maintenance related duties as assigned. 12. Liaison and coordinate Security needs with security contractor, including scheduling and job performance. o Ensure that all Security equipment including alarms, video surveillance and access control are properly functioning and being used in an appropriate manner. 13. Maintain records of maintenance and service for all vehicles and ensure all church vehicles are maintained to operate in a safe manner. 14. Maintain a schedule of use for all vehicles, ensuring vehicles are cleaned and fueled when needed for use. 15. Perform other duties as assigned. 16. Practice diligence in adhering to the church's "Safe Sanctuaries Policy" at all times
Education and Experience:
High school diploma/equivalent. Experience and skills in minor plumbing and carpentry repairs required. Strong computer skills required. Knowledge of automated energy management and outdoor lighting systems. Must maintain valid driver's license and be a competent driver. Must be able to self-direct work and manage multiple projects and priorities,
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
