A Facilities Specialist or Coordinator is in charge of building and equipment maintenance, building security systems, emergency plans, often for specific buildings only. May be involved in planning of new facilities. Acts as contact person between employees and outside contractors.
Job Summary The Maintenance Specialist assists with the day-to-day operational and facility needs of the organization. This position supports facility maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and general operational tasks and provides client transportation as needed. The Maintenance Specialist works collaboratively with the Facilities Manager and other team members to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for clients and staff. Duties/Responsibilities Assist the Facilities Manager with routine facility maintenance, repairs, and general operational tasks. Complete assigned work orders and assist with preventative maintenance activities. Assist with maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the facility and grounds. Assist with moving equipment, furniture, supplies, and other items as needed. Identify and report maintenance, safety, or facility concerns to the Facilities Manager. Assist with vendor access, service appointments, and facility projects as directed. Transport clients to appointments, activities, or other approved destinations as needed, following all company transportation and safety procedures. Maintain appropriate documentation related to transportation, facility tasks, and assigned responsibilities. Follow all applicable safety, infection control, environmental, and organizational policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail. Ability to perform basic maintenance, repair, and general facility-related tasks. Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively with clients, staff, vendors, and leadership. Ability to work independently and prioritize assigned tasks. Must maintain a valid driver's license and meet all company requirements for transporting clients. Must be able to pass required background checks and drug screening.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience in facilities, maintenance, operations, transportation, or a related field preferred. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to safely lift, carry, push, and pull items as required to perform assigned duties.
