We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of our property while leading a skilled maintenance team dedicated to operational excellence. Position Overview The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of all building systems to ensure Spa Castle remains safe, efficient, and welcoming for guests and employees. This role manages preventive maintenance programs, supervises maintenance staff, coordinates contractors and vendors, and ensures compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. The Facilities Manager will also oversee the cleanliness of our space, monitoring our 3rd party contractor. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge of commercial building systems and experience managing facilities within hospitality, wellness, recreation, hotels, or similar high-volume environments. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Facilities and Maintenance team. Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pools, boilers, water treatment systems, and mechanical equipment. Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all facility infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and guest comfort. Respond quickly to maintenance issues and coordinate repairs to minimize operational disruptions. Conduct regular inspections of guest areas, mechanical rooms, locker rooms, pools, saunas, steam rooms, offices, and back-of-house spaces to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns. Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers while overseeing project timelines and budgets. Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment documentation, inspection reports, and preventive maintenance schedules using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or similar software. Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts while maintaining cost-effective purchasing practices. Collaborate with Operations, Housekeeping, and Guest Services teams to ensure a seamless guest experience. Assist with facility renovations, capital improvement projects, and emergency response planning. Qualifications 3+ years of facilities or engineering management experience in a hotel, spa, resort, recreation facility, commercial property, or similar environment. Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, boilers, pumps, and commercial building operations. Experience with pool equipment, water chemistry systems, saunas, steam rooms, or aquatic facilities is highly preferred. Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising maintenance teams and outside contractors. Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and project management abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to outstanding customer service. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements associated with maintenance.
