Facilities Assistant About Us The National Cowgirl Museum celebrates the spirit and stories of women who shaped the American West. We're looking for a dependable, enthusiastic Facilities Assistant to support event setup, help monitor the museum on weekends, and assist our facilities and janitorial teams in keeping the building clean, safe, and welcoming. What You'll Do Set up and break down tables, chairs, and other equipment for museum events, meetings, and programs Monitor museum spaces on weekends, checking cleanliness, building conditions, and safety, and reporting concerns to the appropriate staff Assist the facilities team with routine upkeep, moving supplies and equipment, and daily operational needs Support the janitorial team with cleaning, restocking supplies, and preparing spaces before and after events Help staff respond to operational needs during events and regular museum hours Schedule Part-time (30-40 hours/week, depending on events and needs) Must be available for weekend shifts and evenings as needed for events Flexible scheduling when possible Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Ability to lift 40 lbs, move tables and chairs, and stand for extended periods Reliable, detail-oriented, and a team player Comfortable working independently and communicating maintenance or safety concerns Event setup, facilities, or custodial experience preferred but not required Perks Work in a mission-driven, vibrant environment Support events and exhibitions celebrating Western heritage and women's stories If you're ready to join a friendly team that takes pride in preserving history, apply today!
