Facilities Engineer Midland, TX Compensation:
$120,000-150,000 A growing Permian Basin energy infrastructure company is seeking a Facilities Engineer to support the design and execution of fuel gas infrastructure projects. This role will work closely with senior engineering and operations leadership and will have hands-on involvement from concept and design through construction and commissioning . This is a strong opportunity for an engineer with 3+ years of oil & gas or midstream experience who wants increased project ownership and room to grow as the organization scales. Job Duties Develop PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, line lists, hydraulic calculations and tie-in packages Translate field conditions and project scope into safe, constructible designs Support pipeline, measurement, control and production-support facilities Provide field engineering support during construction, tie-ins and commissioning Manage engineering documentation, permitting/ROW packages, vendor data and integrity records Apply Management of Change (MOC) processes Support equipment and material selection alongside Operations, Measurement/Instrumentation and Procurement Participate in HAZOPs, PHAs, LOPAs and incident investigations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum or Civil Engineering, or equivalent 3+ years of engineering experience within oil & gas, midstream or major-hazard industrial operations Experience taking projects from concept through construction and commissioning Working knowledge of ASME, API, DOT/PHMSA and NFPA standards AutoCAD and hydraulic modeling experience Comfortable working both in the office and field GIS or pipeline software experience is a plus
