Job Description

Position:
Facility Manager Reports directly to: Plant Manager Job Objective
  • Responsible for developing the policies and procedures of the Plant Maintenance department, This position has the main objective of developing, implementing, and controlling the maintenance of plant equipment, to make more effective the cost of maintenance and equipment, as well as the calculation of materials for facilities, according to lay-out, purchase of parts and tools of the equipment.
Responsibility and Authority
  • Responsible for the solution of operational problems related to the effective function of the maintenance, safety and environmental department while reviewing and proposing improvements to the equipment, in terms of operation and cost.
  • Planning and start-up of projects in the Plant Maintenance departments, directly responsible for ensuring that the preventive maintenance of the plant is fulfilled.
  • Responsible for the use and control of the system vs. Fires.
  • Responsible for the proper use of peripheral equipment, air conditioning systems, compressed air, extraction systems.
  • It has the authority to coordinate and ensure compliance with plant maintenance activities.
  • Provide the required support and support to the maintenance department for the repair of plant equipment.
  • Follow up on the closure of the activities corresponding to the maintenance department of the CIP program.
  • Has the authority to make decisions and follow up on issuesrelated to plant maintenance.
  • Planning and start-up of projects in conjunction with the Maintenance, Environmental and Safety departments.
  • Directly responsible for ensuring that preventive maintenance of plant equipment is fulfilled.
  • Personnel manager of the internal and external plant cleaning area.
  • Responsible for the control, monitoring and updating of check-lists and formats of plant maintenance equipment.
  • Application and monitoring of ISO work regulations, Safety and Policies 9001 2015, ISO 14001 2015 and Environmental. In reference to the authority and responsibility of the quality management system, help the monitoring and maintenance of the quality system with:
  • Commitment and responsibility to comply with the quality requirements of its activities.
With the authority to continuously improve the effectiveness of the quality management system through continuous improvement, as well as comply with the established Quality policy. In reference to the authority and responsibility of the environmental management system to assist in the monitoring and maintenance of the environmental system:
  • Being responsible for compliance with the environmental policy. Required knowledge and skills (Competencies)
  • Knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams.
  • Experience in the control, maintenance and calibration of industrial plant tools and equipment.
  • Experience in electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic installations.
  • Knowledge and implementation of Total Quality Systems (ISO 9001), environmental (ISO 14001), safety and hygiene (OSHA)
  • Knowledgeable the use of the MS Office Suite of applications.
  • Personnel management.
  • Strong demonstrable leadership skills.
  • 100% availability.
  • English preferably Education and/or Experience Required
  • Degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering, truncated professional career or finished technical career related to the position.
  • Experience in a similar position minimum 3 years.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
