That campus consists of 8.3 acres with a 96,000 sq.ft. facility. The facility consists of office space, classrooms, music rehearsal spaces, Sanctuary, commercial kitchen, and a full time Pre-School The Facilities Manager is responsible for both strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of facilities operations, maintenance, custodial services, campus scheduling, safety, security, vendors, and emergency response. This position plays an important role in ensuring that our buildings, grounds, equipment, and shared spaces remain clean, safe, welcoming, and operational in support of worship, ministry, education, community activities, and the shared use of the campus with North Star Learning Center. Key Responsibilities Facilities Operations & Maintenance Oversee daily maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and readiness of church buildings, grounds, storage areas, equipment, and shared spaces. Manage computerized heating and air-conditioning systems and campus HVAC operations. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs, cleaning rotations, and custodial schedules. Perform minor repairs and coordinate repairs and maintenance, and communicate progress with staff, ministries, and building users. Monitor mechanical, electrical, and HVAC infrastructure and maintain reliable operation of critical systems. Maintain inventories of custodial, maintenance, cleaning, and operational supplies. Staff Leadership Supervise facilities and custodial staff, providing direction, support, coaching, and accountability. Establish priorities, delegate responsibilities, and coordinate departmental workflow. Conduct staff meetings, check-ins, and annual performance evaluations. Campus Scheduling & Ministry Support Coordinate room reservations, facility usage, and event set-ups. Work with church staff, ministry leaders, committees, outside groups, and North Star Learning Center to support safe and effective shared campus use. Support worship services, special events, community activities, and seasonal ministry needs. Vendors, Contracts & Budget Source, coordinate, and supervise contractors, consultants, service companies, and other vendors. Monitor maintenance contracts, vendor performance, service quality, responsiveness, and cost-effectiveness. Assist with management of the Property and Maintenance budget. Collaborate with church leadership and the Property and Maintenance Committee on maintenance priorities, future needs, and capital projects. Be available to provide after-hours access and provide support to vendors and contractors for work that cannot be scheduled during normal building hours. Safety, Security & Emergency Response Oversee security system operations and after-hours access. Develop a key, and key-fob policy and administer that policy. Maintain effective building-access policies and accurate access records. Coordinate facilities-related emergencies with staff, vendors, contractors, and church leadership. Oversee safety practices, compliance requirements, and facilities-related operational procedures. Oversee kitchen cleanliness, training, and readiness for city inspections. Develop and implement appropriate contingency and emergency-response procedures for critical campus systems. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Experience in facilities management, maintenance, operations, custodial supervision, or a related field. Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and coordinate contractors and vendors. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance, safety practices, security procedures, and facilities-related technology. Ability to regularly walk the campus, inspect buildings and grounds, and lift or move moderate-weight items as appropriate.
