Job Description

Summary:
Uses management processes to plan, organize, staff, direct, and evaluate the services of a quality fitness center. Other duties include reporting progress and effectiveness of programs to supervisor, assist in preparing budgets for fiscal responsibility, and coordinating various marketing and promotional efforts.
Responsibilities:
Establishes annual department goals and objectives Staff is guided to select personal goals that parallel department goals Participates in budget development/management Responsible and accountable for interviewing, counseling, scheduling, and performance evaluation of department staff Assures availability, readiness, safety, and cost-effective use of equipment and supplies Able to prioritize and organize needs/demands of time Delegates appropriately and effectively Practices management techniques to strengthen autonomy of staff Serves as a role model Attends required hospital meetings and ensures that staff is current on hospital obligations
