Job Description
About the job(Permanent Role) Our client is a leading owner and operator of mission-critical infrastructure supporting enterprise and hyperscale customers. With a strong focus on reliability, operational excellence, and continuous innovation, the organization provides highly secure, high-availability facilities that power essential business applications and digital operations. This is an opportunity to join a team responsible for maintaining complex critical environments where uptime, safety, and technical expertise are paramount. Key Responsibilities Perform operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities for critical facility infrastructure supporting data center operations. Monitor and respond to building and equipment alarms, prioritizing system reliability and uptime. Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Utilize established operating procedures, maintenance procedures, and emergency response protocols to support safe facility operations. Coordinate and oversee contractors and service providers performing maintenance and project-related work. Support electrical switching, lockout/tagout activities, and safe work permitting processes. Assist with equipment modifications, operational improvements, and infrastructure upgrades. Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis efforts to prevent recurring failures. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and operational documentation. Support capacity planning, performance tracking, and reporting initiatives. Ensure compliance with company safety programs, environmental requirements, and industry best practices. Provide on-call and emergency response support as required in a 24/7 mission-critical environment. Essential Requirements 7+ years of experience supporting mission-critical facilities, data centers, building engineering operations, or similar technical environments. Journeyman-level knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or related building systems. Experience operating and maintaining critical infrastructure equipment in high-availability environments. Proficiency with CMMS platforms and maintenance management processes. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for electrical and mechanical systems. Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and maintenance activities. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, procedures, and system information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel. Strong communication skills and customer-service orientation. Ability to work flexible schedules, including after-hours support and emergency response situations. Desirable Requirements Associate degree, technical certification, or formal training in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC/R, or related disciplines. Experience supporting Tier II, Tier III, or Tier IV data center facilities. HVAC certification, Journeyman Electrician license, or Master Electrician license. Knowledge of capacity planning and KPI reporting within critical facilities environments. Experience with building automation systems, monitoring platforms, and graphical control interfaces. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, or related technical software. Experience participating in root cause analysis and reliability improvement programs.
