Job Description
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Critical Environment Maintenance Support:
- Oversees ongoing critical infrastructure maintenance and repair for all service lines, ensuring service uptime meets expected standards, service level agreements (SLAs) and faults are addressed promptly.
- Directs operating activities using advanced engineering expertise, overseeing advanced diagnostics and repairs.
- Implements strategies aligned with Oracle processes and industry standards to drive the resolution of routine and non-routine issues.
- Provides strategic recommendations for system-level enhancements to ensure the mitigation of potential problems.
- Drives evaluations of components or action plans suitability, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Incident Management and Operation Improvement:
- Oversees the management of data center incidents impacting critical infrastructure, ensuring proactive and timely resolution of such incidents to maintain operational integrity.
- Manages collaborative efforts with design, construction, commissioning, facility engineering, and data center operations teams to integrate new engineering design systems into existing data center infrastructure.
- Oversees team engagement with operational optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Ensures evaluation and compliance with safe working practices, providing direction to uphold company safety standards.
- Oversees post-incident review processes by guiding cross-functional teams through root cause analyses, institutionalizing lessons learned, and driving the development and governance of Corrective and Preventive Action Plans (CAPAs) to mitigate systemic risks and enhance global infrastructure resilience.
- Partners with key stakeholders and drives collaborations across teams during emergency response and ensures critical issues are promptly resolved and risk is mitigated.
Site Commissioning and Build:
- Oversees site selection and assessment activities across programs or regions, guiding teams in evaluating technical, environmental, and infrastructure conditions to inform long-term capacity planning.
- Reviews and validates technical documentation and reports for strategic tooling inputs and ensures consistency across deliverables.
- Leads cross-functional design and commissioning review efforts, synthesizing commissioning data to drive quality assurance and risk mitigation.
- Oversees and manages processes and engagements to ensure design adjustments align with performance, safety, and operational objectives.
Data Center Operations Management:
- Directs the validation of on-site data center operations concerning engineering infrastructure, ensuring alignment with group goals.
- Acts as a key resource for operations-related projects, leveraging subject matter expertise to inform strategic decisions.
- Partners with key stakeholders to remove blockers and provides recommendations, solutions, and resources to ensure that operational requirements and specifications are delivered on time.
- Ensures compliance with established standards and policies through the review of documentation and organizational participation in commissioning activities, design summits, and data center reviews.
- Establishes processes and procedures around supporting operations.
Engineering Design, Leadership, and Governance:
- Develops and implements design and engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with group goals and objectives.
- Offers strategic guidance and engineering oversight to ensure projects and initiatives meet company expectations.
- Leads the coordination of internal and external team members in delivering data centers for Oracle.
- Provides guidance to teams on the administration of contracts, including generating and reviewing contracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other pertinent documents.
- Reviews policy documents to ensure alignment with company standards and best practices.
- Maintains and oversees best-in-class policies and procedures, ensuring effective reviews of policy and procedure documents are aligned with compliance and organizational standards.
- Oversees the proposal review process of maintenance plans, including benchmarking with others and cost analysis, and escalates/shares findings with senior leaders for approval.
Training and Knowledge Sharing:
- Leads the development of training programs for newer team members, ensuring they align with team goals.
- Audits the drill program, as needed.
- Serves as a resource for complex, advanced systems, leveraging expertise to mentor and guide others both within and outside the team.
- Aligns workload to headcount.
Colocation Vendor Management:
- Holds Colocation Vendor accountable for meeting contractual requirements.
- Leads the acquisition of adequate resources, such as spare parts, generator fuel, water, and consumables.
- Directs vendor and contractor scheduling and site access, driving work to execution and completion per Oracle expectations and safe-working practices.

- Drives performance across teams by providing feedback and coaching in alignment with performance management processes, guidelines, and expectations.

Hiring Range in USD from: $126,200 to $264,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week.
