Come be a part of something that matters! Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services (PRCS) is seeking qualified candidates for the Facilities Manager position. Under the overall guidance of the appointed supervisor, the Facilities Manager oversees the management of departmental facilities. This role involves resolving daily issues related to facilities, grounds, and training equipment; assessing the necessity for repairs, replacements, and enhancements; ensuring adherence to regulations; and planning new facilities or renovations. It also includes overseeing facility construction and remodeling projects. We are currently hiring for the following location(s):

Miller Drive SE, Leesburg, VA Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversees construction and post-construction tasks for designated projects; conducts inspections of construction sites; engages with contractors; guarantees that construction is finalized and adheres to standards; and records construction activities in line with established policies and procedures. Develops the project scope and timeline while overseeing the schedule and assignments for evaluation; organizes the activities of all contacts and technical support; ensures proper communication with other agencies and departments; leads project team meetings; and keeps the supervisor updated on team activities, challenges, and decisions. Contracts established with vendors for the provision of services, materials, or equipment. Creates emergency response and management strategies to guarantee the efficient use of resources; establishes backup or alternative systems for frequent issues; and addresses facility-related emergencies, including after-hours interventions by departmental staff. Supervises facilities management and the corresponding budget. Supervises the operational status of critical facilities, structures, landscapes, and machinery. May carry out additional critical job responsibilities that are specific to the role and departmental assignment. Hiring salary commensurate with experience. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or closely related field and four (4) years of related experience preferably in construction operations. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. One ( 1 ) year of supervisory or team lead experience. Must undergo background check, including fingerprinting, criminal, credit, and DMV checks. A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required. Annual reviews of driving records may be conducted to ensure ongoing qualification. Completion of OSHA 10-hour certification course (within 12 months).
Preferred Qualifications:
International Facilities Managers Association Facility Managers certification preferred.
