The Critical Facilities Technician is responsible, as part of a team, for ensuring that all cooling, mechanical, and supporting infrastructureparticularly inrow heat exchangersoperates at peak efficiency to maintain strict thermal conditions for missioncritical IT equipment. This includes conducting planned preventative maintenance, performing daily corrective work, troubleshooting inrow cooling systems, and responding to emergent environmental or mechanical issues. The technician regularly interacts with Data Center Operators (DCOs), clients, and vendors while supporting a reliability standard exceeding 99.999% uptime. Although the primary focus is on highdensity inrow heat exchangers, a foundational understanding of broader data center infrastructuresuch as pumps, motors, VFDs, building automation systems, chilled water systems, and airhandling equipmentis preferred. Additionally, the technician uses event monitoring systems to identify abnormalities and deliver timely notifications and escalations to stakeholders during service-impacting events.

Primary Duties within varied scope of work and client expectations will range from:

Travels up to 50% as needed for remote site projectsPerforms L2 L5 commissioning checklists as deliverables to the customerDevelops creative approaches to keep operational costs to a minimum, improve efficiency, andimplementnew strategies for MechanicalandElectrical systemsTests performance of electromechanical assemblies and electronicmultimetersReads blueprints, schematics,diagramsor technical orders todeterminemethods and sequences of processesInspects equipment for defects, leaks, and potential issuesInstalls electrical/mechanicalparts and hardware in housings/assemblies with hand toolsAligns,fitsor assemblescomponentparts using hand/power toolsProvides feedback on effectiveness of existing standards and processesWorks with contractors and consultants to review quality assurance for all system expansions, corrections, and upgradesCollaborates on tracking and completing aggressive preventive and predictive maintenance programs

Hour General IndustryPhysical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to50lbs.

This range reflects a goodfaith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location. Our comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), gym discount, mental health, Discounted Group Life & AD&D, Discounted Group Short & Long-term Disability, 401(k) retirement matching, PTO/paid holidays, and parental leave. This posted hourly rate is the final rate of pay for the position, based on jobrelated factors consistent with applicable law.
