- Job Description
- SOSi is seeking an experienced Facilities Operations Manager to lead the management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our facilities in Reston, Virginia.
- Key Responsibilities
- Facilities Operations & Maintenance
- + Oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and performance of all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and life safety systems.
- Budget & Resource Management
- + Develop and manage annual operating and maintenance budgets. + Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to approved budgets while maintaining service quality. + Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies. + Collaborate with Finance and leadership teams on long-term capital planning, facility upgrades, and renovation projects.
- Leadership & Team Development
- + Lead, mentor, and develop facilities personnel, including maintenance technicians, custodial staff, and administrative support teams.
- Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
- + Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA requirements, building codes, fire and life safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Facilities Projects & Strategic Planning
- + Lead facility improvement projects, including renovations, space planning, expansions, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Qualifications
- Required Qualifications
- + Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted.
- Preferred Qualifications
- + Professional certification such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or similar credentials. + Experience managing facility improvement projects, capital expenditures, and contractor/vendor relationships. + Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and energy management programs.
