Responsibilities Perform cleaning duties across various areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely by following established safety protocols for storage, usage, and disposal. Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Maintain sanitation standards through regular cleaning routines and disinfecting high-touch surfaces to promote health and safety. Support general facilities maintenance including minor repairs, painting (residential or industrial), and upkeep of cleaning tools and equipment. Assist with custodial responsibilities in commercial or industrial cleaning environments to ensure cleanliness meets organizational standards. Follow safety procedures diligently during all tasks to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices. Skilled in handling cleaning chemicals safely and understanding chemical handling safety procedures. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and other custodial tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper manual handling techniques. Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Experience in facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs, sanitation practices, and general upkeep. Knowledge of safety protocols related to chemical use, heavy lifting, and equipment operation to maintain a safe work environment.
