Asotin County is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Computer Operator/Landfill Facility Technician to join our team at the Asotin County Regional Landfill. As a vital member of our operations, you will be responsible for computerized data entry, managing cash and charge account transactions, and handling public relations at the landfill. Your role will also include handling and sorting moderate-risk waste at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility, performing essential site maintenance such as litter pickup, mowing, weed whacking, and other grounds maintenance tasks. We are looking for candidates who possess a high school diploma or equivalent and are willing to obtain first aid training certification within 12 months of hire. This position offers a competitive wage of $18.51 per hour under a collective bargaining agreement. As a full-time employee, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes three medical plans to choose from, dental and vision coverage, a pension plan, deferred compensation, 11 paid holidays plus one floating holiday, vacation, and sick leave.
