Job Description

Job Summary:
The Facilities Regulatory Compliance Specialist's primary responsibility is to develop, implement, and monitor fire protection and life safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations. The Specialist oversees the Life Safety inspections with third party vendors to ensure timely completion. This includes quoting, scheduling and filing the results of inspections and corrections.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance & Regulations:
Ensuring facility compliance with federal, state, and local life safety codes and fire protection standards.
System Maintenance:
Overseeing the installation, testing, and maintenance of life safety systems, such as fire alarms and sprinkler systems
Safety Training:
Educating employees, contractors, and visitors on safety policies and emergency protocols.
Audits & Inspections:
Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
Education and Training:
High School diploma or equivalent, required.
Experience:
Previous health care facility maintenance experience, preferred. Demonstrated on-the-job trainings and continuing education through manufacturers' workshops and seminars, highly preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills are a must. Organizational and leadership skills. Knowledge of safety regulations.
