POSITION SUMMARY
Manage all aspects of facility billing, to include both skilled level and custodial, and house account for all facilities assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Obtain and Update facility census and pay types daily for assigned facilities. Balance census weekly to facility census grid. Update and develop patient insurance information. Adjudicate claims and resolve rejections. Split bill transaction skilled to custodial. Review for double Co-pays Communicate and resolve insurance issues with facility. Track and monitor Pending Medicaid. patients. Resolve facility billing issues. Post facility adjustments. Review monthly billing transactions to ensure charges are billed in accordance with facility contract at month end and correct all transactions errors. Update all IV charges at month in accordance with facility contract and create IV charges. Produce monthly billing statement, facility summaries and Unpaid statement history. Upload billing statements to the company report portal. Investigates any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities reported to Compliance Officer Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies. Participate in pharmacy committees when requested. Participate in in-service education programs provided by the pharmacy. Performs other duties as required. Abide by the company Drug Free Workplace policy. Drug screening is conducted at hire, or may be conducted company-wide, upon request upon reasonable suspicion.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must be 18 years of age. Current pharmacy technician or pharmacy assistant license in the state of Washington. 2+ years previous experience in LTC pharmacy facility billing Knowledge of medical terminology and brand/generic medications desired. Must be capable of handling a high volume of work with accuracy and attention to detail.
