The General Manager will oversee multiple properties, field employees, contractors, and vendors while working directly with customers and property management teams. This is a highly operational role for someone who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and figuring out how to get things done. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the facilities and maintenance business. Manage and coordinate field technicians, service personnel, contractors, and vendors. Coordinate maintenance, repairs, janitorial, landscaping, preventative maintenance, and other building services. Manage service needs across multiple commercial properties and locations. Respond to customer requests and troubleshoot operational issues. Determine the resources, labor, materials, and equipment required for each job. Identify and coordinate the appropriate technicians, contractors, and skilled tradespeople. Develop customer estimates and proposals, including labor, material, equipment, pricing, and margins. Manage projects from initial customer request through completion. Monitor project schedules, costs, quality, and profitability. Communicate directly with customers, property owners, and management teams. Build and maintain strong customer, contractor, vendor, and skilled-trade relationships. Lead and hold field employees accountable for quality, productivity, and performance. Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, processes, and profitability. Support and learn the company's warehouse and operational functions. Help develop systems and processes as the business continues to grow. Take ownership of the overall performance and success of the operation. What We're Looking For 3+ years of relevant experience; 5+ years preferred Background in facilities, construction, maintenance, general contracting, skilled trades, or building services. Experience managing people, field employees, contractors, and/or vendors. Experience with project management, estimating, and job costing . Strong computer skills and comfort learning new technology and systems. Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects, customers, and locations at once. Customer-facing experience with the ability to develop estimates and proposals. Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
