The Facilities Manager is responsible for the general cleaning and up-keep of the building and grounds. This will include making minor repairs as needed and reporting any need of major repairs to the Trustees. Routine maintenance and setting up rooms for the various programs, services and meetings is also expected of the Facilities Manager. Duties The Facilities Manager performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following: In consultation with the Pastor, develop and maintain a schedule of routine, weekly cleaning and upkeep of restrooms, class rooms, meeting rooms, office area, sanctuary, Fellowship Hall and all corridors. Set-up and take down tables, chairs and equipment as needed for scheduled activities, classes and events. Maintaining a safe work environment for all employees. In consultation with the Trustees, develop and implement schedules for deep cleaning of all areas of the church based on the level of use, risk to safety and importance to the Church. In consultation with the Trustees, develop and insure the completion of plans for routine and preventative maintenance of building, grounds, heating, cooling, and lighting. Managing maintenance of grounds, including lawn mowing and sidewalk snow removal. Ensuring all utility systems are inspected and run accordance with regulations. Managing and ordering supplies for maintenance and cleaning in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Respond to and lead clean-up of unanticipated maintenance problems. Perform all other duties assigned by the Pastor.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Previous experience in maintenance, facilities management or related work. Physical dexterity including ability for stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and liftingup to 50 pounds. Self-motivated and self-directed. Positive attitude. Trouble-shoots problems and resolved issues in a safe manner.
Spiritual Qualifications:
Personal relationship with God, including continuous personal spiritual growth
Physical and Other Requirements:
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for frequent community site visits. Flexibility for weekend and evening events as required by Church needs. Ability to lift 50 lbs. (e.g., for food distribution or event setup).
Working Hours:
20 - 30 hours per week part time
Pay:
$21,000.00 - $27,000.00 per year
