Job Description
This position is in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Office of Management, Administrative Programs Division, Facility Management Branch. Although primarily involved in facilities management issues pertaining to facilities in Huntsville, AL, Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia, the incumbent may also become involved in facilities management issues pertaining to facilities located elsewhere throughout the United States. To qualify for the Building Manager position at the GS-13 position, you must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Minimum Qualifications Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. To qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level, candidates must meet the following specialized experience by the closing date of this announcement.
EXPERIENCE
Candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include all of the following : Negotiates with managers to develop solutions to problems and to promote and maintain effective relations; AND Provides advice and assistance to management and program officials regarding policies, regulations, space arrangements, and building operations; AND Performs building operation related service calls and project inspections to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
