Job Description

Now offering a $500 sign on bonus once you complete 90 days! (you must be in good standing at that time) Forklift experience (will be required to pass forklift assessment) Willingness to attend mandatory Safety Training(8hrs)prior to being placed on a shift Willingness to work 12-hour shifts Comfortableness working with recyclables High level of comfortableness performing the following task during shift: 75% cleaning(shovel and broom work) 25% forklift operation Must successfully complete company pre-employment drug screen, background and physical requirements. The Utility Operator is responsible for supporting production operations by performing a variety of material handling, housekeeping, equipment cleaning, and line support functions. This position requires flexibility to work across multiple roles, maintain safety and quality standards, and ensure efficient daily operations.

Job Functions:
  • Perform duties in any Material Handler role as assigned, including but not limited to: o Bale Lot Operator o Byproducts Material Handler o Packaging Material Handler
  • Operating the aluminum can line and produce aluminum can bale as required to support production needs.
  • Complete, review, and sign off on all assigned operational and safety checklists accurately and timely.
  • Operate pressure washing equipment to detail clean production equipment and work areas.
  • Assist with daily cleaning and maintenance of NRTs.
  • Perform daily housekeeping throughout Line 2, including indoor and outdoor areas, to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures at all times.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and demonstrate effective time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, climb stairs and ladders, and work at elevated heights when required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a high-noise manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, exposed to varying temperatures and environmental conditions. Work Environment
  • Manufacturing and industrial settings.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, noise, dust, and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Education/Training/Experience:

1-2 years prior Manufacturing experience preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Forklift certification required; must be able to safely operate a forklift. Must be able to read & write English. Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training required.
