Full Job Description Job Type Full-time Schedule:

8:00 AM-4:00
PM Pay:
$25.00-$27.50 per hour
Expected Hours:
45-55 per week We are looking for a delivery driver who will be responsible for driving commercial trucks on behalf of the Company to deliver construction equipment and materials to residential and commercial job sites. The driver will work as part of a team to safely load and unload heavy materials while providing a world-class customer service experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive commercial motor vehicles on public roads and highways, including federal interstates and state roads, private property, and potentially to out-of-state job sites. Comply with company, state, and federal guidelines, particularly OSHA and DOT regulations, to ensure the safety of all personnel. Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations. Maintain health and safety compliance in accordance with company policy. Perform pre-trip inspections of the truck, trailer, equipment, paperwork, and loaded product to ensure order accuracy before leaving the yard. Map and set up the route to the job site before leaving the yard. Confirm delivery location and any special instructions with the customer upon arrival at the job site. Safely unload and deliver materials while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you. Operate a forklift to safely load and unload materials as needed. Immediately report all accidents and customer property damage to the Dispatcher and/or Yard Manager. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensing/Experience Requirements High School diploma preferred. Valid commercial driver's license required. Forklift certification required. Three-year motor vehicle history report must meet Company requirements. Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations. Forklift operating experience preferred. Other Competencies Ability to self-manage, show initiative, and be proactive. Excellent customer service skills. Positive and professional attitude. Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, with coworkers and customers. Ability to read and accurately follow instructions from customers. Ability to judge distance while delivering materials and operating a forklift.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Stamina to continuously lift, carry, and move at least 100 lbs. in order to handle materials. Must be able to remain in a stationary position while driving a commercial vehicle for approximately 20% of the shift. Frequently move and unload materials from commercial motor vehicles onto job sites. Frequently operate commercial motor vehicles and forklifts. Frequently position oneself to load and unload materials from flatbed trailers. Work outdoors in all weather conditions while making deliveries.
