Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support our operations within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in the production process by ensuring the efficient movement of materials, parts and inspected components while assisting the quality team in maintaining product standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Transport raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to designated areas to support the production flow. Assist by staging materials to the appropriate locations. Ensure accurate tracking of part movement using scanning equipment or manual logs. Inspect and maintain forklift equipment daily and report any issues or safety concerns. Adhere to plant safety protocols, quality standards, and operational procedures. Support sorting, containment, or rework activities as directed by Quality Inspectors or Leads. Participate in 5S initiatives and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous Forklift experience required-At least 6 months Valid forklift certification/license required. Basic understanding of quality inspection procedures is a plus. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a commitment to safety.
Preferred Skills:
Previous forklift experience required Familiarity with automotive components or production lines. Comfortable working in hot, cold, or loud environments as typical of manufacturing settings.
