Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to facilitate the safe and accurate movement of goods within our distribution center. Your expertise in warehouse operations will ensure seamless shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety standards and possess comprehensive knowledge of warehouse management systems and logistics procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with OSHA and company safety protocols Load and unload shipments accurately while adhering to safety standards in production environments Pick and prepare orders using barcode scanning technology for logistics accuracy Manage inventory levels through proper materials handling and manual handling techniques Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipment contents and documentation Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock locations and maintaining a clean workspace Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records Perform heavy lifting tasks as required while following proper lifting techniques Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency

Qualifications:

Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, or similar equipment within a warehouse setting Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning for logistics purposes Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling Strong understanding of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, inventory management, and order picking Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements Experience with manual handling techniques and heavy lifting safety procedures Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety compliance in fast-paced environments Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus but not mandatory Join our team as a Forklift Operator to play a vital role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations while ensuring safety at all times.
