Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to move, load, and unload goods safely and accurately. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse distribution processes, proper inventory management, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Operate forklift trucks and other material handling equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments. Safely handle heavy materials using manual handling techniques in compliance with OSHA and warehouse safety protocols. Manage inventory by accurately barcode scanning for logistics purposes and updating warehouse management systems (WMS). Pick orders efficiently using order picker equipment and ensure accurate order fulfillment for shipping & receiving operations. Load and unload freight from trucks or containers while maintaining proper weight distribution and safety standards. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for any issues with forklifts or other machinery. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by following safety standards in production and warehouse operations. Assist with shipping & receiving documentation, inventory counts, and warehouse distribution tasks as needed. Follow all OSHA regulations and warehouse safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Experience Proven experience operating forklifts (including lift trucks), reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, or similar material handling equipment in a warehouse setting. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and inventory management procedures. Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes along with the ability to manually handle materials safely. Experience in warehouse operations including order picking, load & unload activities, heavy lifting, and materials handling best practices. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols. Previous warehouse supervision experience is a plus but not required; candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
