Job Summary The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a sit down forklift to move, load, unload, and store materials throughout the warehouse. This role supports shipping, receiving, and inventory operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and productivity. Responsibilities Safely operate sit down forklifts in warehouse and distribution environments Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks and trailers Transport, stack, and store materials in designated warehouse locations Verify product quantities and inspect shipments for damage Accurately record inventory movements using scanners, warehouse management systems, or shipping documents Perform daily pre-shift forklift inspections and report equipment issues Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and warehouse procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Assist with shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and other warehouse duties as needed Requirements Previous sit down forklift experience required Valid forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification) Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs Basic math and computer skills Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems is an asset Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment throughout the shift As part of onboarding, all Spotters complete a background check through our screening partner.
