Production Manager Join Our Team Sumida America Inc. is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler to support our manufacturing operations. This position plays a critical role in receiving, moving, storing, and distributing materials throughout the facility to ensure efficient production and customer satisfaction. This is a Safety-Sensitive Position . In the interest of protecting the safety of all employees and ensuring the safe use of our products for end users, Sumida America Inc. has classified all positions as safety sensitive. Impaired performance in this position could result in harm to the employee, coworkers, equipment, or company property. A post job offer drug test is required for this position. Key Responsibilities Receive and verify incoming materials and box counts Inspect materials for damage and receive, reject, or escalate damaged shipments as needed Follow established procedures for handling rejected or hold materials Manage and dispose of dunnage appropriately Band and/or wrap finished goods for shipment Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently Stock molding compound, wire, and other materials in designated storage locations, including freezers, work centers, and accepted inventory areas Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as required Verify proper disposition of materials removed from staging areas Ensure inventory and receiving paperwork is completed and filed accurately Maintain organized inventory and storage areas Report defective materials, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues to supervision Maintain a clean and orderly work environment Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations Perform other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Education & Experience Less than high school education with one year of related experience or training; or Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Skills & Abilities Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Ability to work with measurements, weights, inventory quantities, and shipping documentation Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to identify and address routine problems using sound judgment Forklift experience is a plus Physical Requirements Regular standing throughout the shift Frequent use of hands for handling materials, tools, and equipment Frequent walking, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing Ability to regularly lift up to 15 pounds Ability to frequently lift up to 30 pounds Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Ability to maintain visual focus, depth perception, and peripheral vision necessary for safe operation Work Environment Manufacturing facility environment Regular exposure to vibration Occasional exposure to moving mechanical equipment and machinery Requires adherence to all safety standards and use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) Why Join Sumida America Inc.?
