5:00 am - 1:30 pm What you will do He/she will be responsible for the local delivery and execution of core loading to vendors and managers in accordance with Johnson Controls principles, corporate policies and procedures, and plant operations. You will perform a variety of employment related functions for the ultimate purpose of enhancing employee engagement, safety and health, productivity and ensuring employee compliance with Company policies in a manufacturing facility. How you will do it Operate a sit-down forklift and other industrial machinery like mobile column lifts or mobile entry crane. Rotate product into and out of our buildings for manufacturing accessibility. Load and unload trucks with the correct equipment to and from our facility. Check that loads are centered and properly loaded. Track manufacturing unit progress and know ship dates to ensure timely load outs. Be able to problem solve and stay alert for changes to create solutions. Communicate with supervisor to ensure fulfillment in servicing out buildings. Must be willing to work outside for long periods of time in all seasons Multi-task and prioritize company daily schedules and requirements. Work with other job families like production to report timely movement of goods. Prioritization in accordance with company daily schedule and requirements. Occasional pallet building and stacking crates, pallets, lumber, or other material. Some tasks require working with chemicals, ex: Alcohol and/or paint thinners. Ensures the safe and efficient movement of finished product and other goods. Maintain clean work area. Other duties as assigned. What we look for Safety policies must be always adhered to. It is very important that the incumbent of this position can work and communicate with prudence, while effectively managing time, completing tasks, and working safely. Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g., hardhat, safety glasses, safety boots, ear protection, cut level 5 gloves etc.). Regularly works near moving parts. Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. Noise levels can fluctuate from quiet to loud. May work in tight spaces Hazards associated with the industry. Climate controlled shop, occasional exposure to heat, manufacturing environment noise level, dust, working at heights; all employees must always wear required PPE while working. Interaction with people, working around people, planning of activities, making judgements in emergency situations, frequent changes in duties and volume of work, interorganizational communication. Occupational travel to offsite locations. Required Loading and unloading experience FLT certifications and crane certifications Must read and write. Outlook, Excel, Word, and web browser skills required. Analytical problem solver with good communication skills. Experience with all safe practices, procedures, and overall processes. Must have a valid US Driver License. Preferred Completion of high school or equivalent education plus additional education preferred. 2+ years previous experience
