Job Title:
Industrial Saw Operator / Forklift Operator Job Description This role focuses on safely and accurately cutting aluminum and metal materials using industrial saws in a modern, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. You will operate equipment, handle materials with a forklift, and follow detailed work orders and drawings to meet precise production specifications while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality. Responsibilities Operate industrial saws to cut aluminum and metal materials to precise specifications. Read and interpret work orders, measurements, and production drawings to complete jobs accurately. Set up, adjust, and maintain saw equipment to ensure optimal performance and productivity. Inspect materials for quality and accuracy before and after cutting, identifying and addressing any defects. Safely handle, move, load, and unload materials using a forklift and proper lifting techniques or equipment. Perform deburring and other finishing tasks as needed to meet quality standards. Use measuring tools such as tape measures and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances. Support related equipment operations, such as bandsaws and press brakes, as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area at all times. Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment. Work collaboratively as a team player in a growing facility and maintain strong, consistent attendance. Adapt to training on saw and machine operation and apply learned skills to daily tasks. Essential Skills Proven forklift experience with the ability to start operating immediately. Ability to read a tape measure and perform accurate measurements. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, machinery, and industrial equipment. Strong attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality work. Ability to stand, lift, and move materials throughout the shift. Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused work habits. Ability to read and interpret work orders, measurements, and production drawings. Comfort working in a metal manufacturing environment. Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to consistent attendance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience operating industrial saws, such as band saws, circular saws, or similar equipment, is preferred. Experience with industrial saw operation, deburring, bandsaw work, and press brake operation is a plus. Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers is beneficial. Willingness to learn and be trained on saw and machine operation. Ability to work first shift with a start time of 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a brand-new, climate-controlled metal manufacturing warehouse in Tolleson, AZ. The facility is safety-oriented and equipped with modern industrial machinery, including saws, bandsaws, press brakes, forklifts, and precision measuring tools. The role is on first shift, with typical start times at 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m. Steel-toe footwear with metatarsal guards is required and provided. Safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and protective sleeves are also provided as standard personal protective equipment. The environment involves standing, lifting, and moving metal materials throughout the shift while working as part of a collaborative production team. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tolleson, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
