Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Sit Down Forklift Operator / Warehouse Worker to join our fast-paced distribution center team. Duties Safely operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load and unload shipments. Perform order picking using barcode scanning systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Manage inventory levels through proper storage, labeling, and documentation within the warehouse management system (WMS). Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against shipping documents. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure all machinery operates safely and effectively. Follow OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols during all manual handling and heavy lifting tasks. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock locations, conducting cycle counts, and maintaining a clean work environment. Qualifications Proven experience operating forklifts such as sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, or Hi-Lo equipment in a warehouse setting. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management practices. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, materials handling techniques, and OSHA safety standards. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique to prevent injury. Basic math skills for counting inventory and verifying shipment quantities accurately. Strong understanding of warehouse operations including order picking, load & unload procedures, and warehouse distribution workflows.
