Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Forklift Operator and become a vital part of our logistics and distribution operations! In this energetic role, you will operate various types of heavy equipment, including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks, to efficiently load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and materials handling will ensure smooth order picking, shipping, and receiving processes. Duties Safely operate forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments. Manage inventory movement within the warehouse using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels accurately. Perform order picking tasks with various equipment including pickers and order picker machines to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and condition. Conduct routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs to ensure all machinery operates safely and effectively. Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing materials on pallets or shelves for easy access and storage. Follow OSHA safety standards diligently while handling materials and operating equipment to maintain a safe working environment. Requirements Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and experience with inventory control processes. Mechanical aptitude with basic repair skills for forklifts or other warehouse equipment. Strong understanding of materials handling procedures including load & unload operations, order picking, shipping & receiving. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining proper ergonomics. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations and equipment operation.
