Paycruit is currently looking for a production planner for a manufacturing company in the city of Azusa. Long term temp to hire position offering lots of room for growth and great benefits upon hire. Monday thru Friday 7am-3:30pm Starting pay $25.00/hr+ DOE (depending of experience)
Job Description:
Production Planner/Scheduler Plans, schedules, coordinates, and monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor to achieve both customer delivery dates and optimize throughput / mix efficiency. Monitors capacity versus utilization and provides routine reports on status and recommendations. Collaborates with Customer Service to ensure new orders achieve +90% on time delivery. Prepares outlook report for demand planning based on history and sales input, versus capacity and parts / materials constraints, periods: 30-60-90-120 days.
Accountabilities:
Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements Coordinate delivery of parts to expedite flow of material to meet production schedule Support purchasing and recommend expedite purchase orders if required Utilize ERP system to auto‐generate manufacturing work orders Release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse for kit picking Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages Notify Customer Service of schedule impacts to customers Coordinate/expedite manufacturing builds and monitor WIP to ensure schedules are achieved Completes status reports including but not limited to production progress; customer information; materials inventory; capacity and utilization analysis; WIP level
Requirements:
Production and processing knowledge; parts and raw materials; production processes; quality control; costs; and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of products Communication skills to interact effectively and courteously with stakeholders Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English Proficient use of computer systems and software applications In‐depth knowledge of ERP and MRP software Degree in supply chain or industrial engineering preferred APICS certification preferred Experience preferred in production planning or inventory and material management .
