HR Position Overview:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of industrial lift trucks to move, load, unload, and organize materials within warehouses, storage areas, and production facilities. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, equipment maintenance, and compliance with operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Forklift Operation & Material Handling:
Safely operate forklifts and industrial trucks to lift, stack, transport, and position materials, equipment, or products. Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, trailers, or other lifting devices in areas such as leaf processing, shipping, receiving, or off-site warehouses. Load outgoing products onto tractor trailers in accordance with shipping schedules. Weigh materials or products, recording weights on tags, labels, or production schedules. Organize and stack materials in designated areas to maintain an efficient material flow.
Daily Equipment Inspections & Maintenance:
Perform and complete pre-operation checklists to ensure equipment is in proper working condition before each shift. Immediately report any malfunctions or safety concerns to the Facilities Maintenance team. Monitor and document lift truck usage and maintenance needs, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Report all incidents, including near-misses or safety violations, to the supervisor promptly. #LIND26
