Summary/Objective:

The position includes operating forklifts to move bins, pallets, and finished products into loading trailers, cold storage, and racks. The position requires the use of scanners for storage and retrieval of products as well as keeping track of inventory.

Essential Functions:

• Drive forklift safely and competently in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of driving into small spaces, i.e., truck trailers, cooling rooms, and in between storage racks
• Move bins and finished products as directed to maintain the flow of production
• Store bins/products in an organized manner
• Communicate with supervisors to ensure accuracy
• Stack goods in the correct storage bays following inventory control instructions
• Check loads are secure
• Stack empty pallets
• Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment
• Responsible for cleaning the storage room and making sure the work area is safe and well-kept.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a forklift driver
• Forklift certification per OSHA standards
• Valid CA Driver's License, Clean driver's record may be required

Pay:

$17.50 - $18.00 per hour
