One Location-Huntington Park, CA Work Remotely:
No Primary Role We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to work in our Plywood and Veneer manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, and stack materials to and from multiple areas of the facility, following safety practices learned while in training for Licensed Forklift operator. Will perform tasks following instructions from Supervisors and coordinating with coworkers all under the timeframe of dates noted in Production Work Orders (jobs). There are forklift operator specialist in loading/unloading trucks, to achieve this task further attention to weight capacity of truck is needed and some other technicalities. Specific and General Skills Requirement Must pass forklift test evaluation Certified operator a must even if not current Bilingual in english and spanish a plus Master Ability to drive a forklift Awareness of Lift capacity and understanding of shelfs-stacks. Ability to count and perform simple math Ability to use and read a tape measure Ability to see with or without corrected vision Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers Legible writing skills in English and in Numbers Ability to understand and follow directions Daily job duties. Starts by inspecting the physical and mechanical aspects of unit. This position coordinates the activities of other production personnel. Operator must always be aware of mechanical condition of the unit and coordinate preventive or corrective maintenance with the Plant Engineer. When performing tasks of receiving must deliver receiving paperwork to Production office or Buying Dept. When supporting the activity of feeding materials to work centers, must be very expeditious loading/unloading units of material to keep the flow. Produce and maintain well aligned stacks of material to secure balance.
