JOB SUMMARY :

Operate forklift on the packaging floor in a safe and efficient manner.

PRODUCTION STANDARDS

• Keep lines provided with proper supply of materials on a timely basis.
• Properly inspect and maintain fluid levels of forklift.
• Communicate with line operators, crew leaders, and other forklift operators.
• Able to plan ahead.
• Need to be extremely safety conscious.
• Use correct materials.
• Able to identify defective materials.
• Forklift operators can only use the battery that corresponds to their forklift number.
• Required to sort pallets by size and vendor in their assigned area of the packing floor.
• Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must work in a sitting position for extended periods of time, safety glasses are required. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Read and understand specification book and daily programs. Ability to react to schedule changes quickly. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Be a qualified forklift operator, must successfully complete training / certification, and maintain certification. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
