Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Seasonal Forklift Driver and become a vital part of our fast-paced warehouse! Your expertise will ensure safe and smooth warehouse distribution processes while supporting our team during peak seasons. Responsibilities Safely operate forklift equipment such as reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems and barcode scanning tools to track materials accurately. Perform order picking and order fulfillment tasks with precision, ensuring timely shipment preparation. Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation. Follow warehouse safety standards in production environments, adhering strictly to OSHA guidelines and forklift safety protocols. Support warehouse distribution efforts by organizing stock locations, performing manual handling tasks, and heavy lifting as needed. Perform a truck inspection on the scanner, if for any reason the truck you are to load does not meet the requirements of the inspection, you must fail inspection and communicate to shipping personnel or Shipping Manager. If there are times when there are no trucks to load, you will be expected to keep all coolers clean and free of debris by picking up pieces of pallets, sweeping floors etc. Other duties will be assigned by the Shipping Manager. Requirements Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as, forklifts. Knowledge of warehouse operations including inventory management, shipping & receiving procedures, and warehouse distribution processes. Basic math skills for inventory counting and barcode scanning accuracy. Mechanical aptitude for equipment repair or troubleshooting minor issues with forklifts or other machinery is a plus. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety standards. Prior experience in warehouse management systems or similar logistics software is preferred.
