Key Role Accountabilities:
Driver Duties:
Safely operate company vehicles to collect and deliver cargo to customers, suppliers, airlines and freight forwarders. Complete collections and deliveries accurately and on time, following schedules and instructions. Check cargo and documentation before collection and delivery and obtain proof of delivery. Safely load, unload and secure cargo, preventing damage during transportation. Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues regarding collections and deliveries. Report delays, discrepancies, damage or incidents promptly to the Warehouse Supervisor. Maintain company vehicles in a clean and safe condition and report any maintenance concerns. Comply with all driving, transportation, TSA, health and safety and company requirements. Represent B&H Worldwide professionally when dealing with customers and external parties.
Warehouse Duties:
Receive, book in and dispatch cargo accurately in accordance with company procedures. Ensure freight is screened, handled and identified correctly in accordance with TSA requirements. Assist with loading, unloading, labelling, packing and palletising cargo. Maintain accurate inventory records and carry out regular inventory checks. Respond professionally to customer and operational queries. Follow all warehouse security procedures, including checking IDs, completing goods-in checks and monitoring warehouse access. Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and organised. Manage inventory receipt and dispatch requests and relevant inboxes. Create AES documentation and book shipments through FedEx and other transport systems. Follow all work instructions, procedures and relevant transportation and cargo-handling requirements. Develop knowledge of import, export and domestic operations where required.
Compliance / Health
& Safety Adhere to the Company Health and Safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment. Be aware of the standards expected in respect of the job, attendance, time keeping and behaviour and the standards set out in the handbook and the HR Policy Manual. Maintain a smart and professional appearance at all times by adhering to the company Dress Code policy and wearing Company-supplied uniform. Ensure your Company identity card is visible and on display at all times. Maintain and share with colleagues as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant transport law and procedures and restrictions. Ensure you understand and adhere to any existing policy changes or any new policies.
Your Experience:
Customer-focused with a friendly and helpful attitude. A valid driving licence and a safe driving record are required, with previous experience driving in a customer facing role, ideally gained in the logistics / transportation industry. Knowledge of warehouse operations, including handling equipment and warehouse safety regulations. Ability to safely load, unload and handle cargo. Basic IT skills and the ability to use inventory systems. Good English communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Flexible and agile. Attention to detail with good organizational skills. Ability to follow procedures and work under supervision. Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
