This is a hands-on role where the majority of your day will be spent on your feet, moving freight and ensuring our warehouse runs smoothly. Forklift operation is a part of the job, but the core of this position is General warehouse Duties. Job Summary The Warehouse Laborer is primarily responsible for the manual handling of goods throughout our facility. This is a physically demanding role that requires strength, stamina, and attention to detail. Key duties include unloading shipping containers by hand, lifting heavy boxes, sorting products, and packaging orders. When needed, you will also operate a forklift to put away pallets or move heavy loads. The ideal candidate is a team player who takes pride in their work and isn't afraid to break a sweat. Key Responsibilities Primary Duties (Majority of Time): Perform manual unloading of shipping containers and trucks, moving freight by hand. Lift, carry, and stack heavy boxes and objects (up to 50 lbs. regularly, with team-lifting for heavier items). Sorting incoming shipments accurately by purchase order, product type, or destination. Packaging and repackaging products securely for shipment, including sealing, labeling, and staging orders. Manually put away boxes on shelves, racks, and designated storage areas. Maintain a clean and safe work environment through daily cleaning duties such as sweeping, debris removal, and organizing workstations. Secondary Duties (As Required): Operate a forklift (sit-down or stand-up) to transport palletized goods as needed. Use manual and electric pallet jacks for moving loads. Assist in cycle counts and inventory checks. Load outbound trucks securely.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Required:

Proven ability to perform consistent, heavy physical labor including lifting, bending, stooping, and standing for a full shift. Preferred (but not required to start): Valid forklift certification. (We will certify the right candidate). Experience in a warehouse, construction, or other manual labor environment is a plus. Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail for accurate sorting and inventory management. Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Physical Demands & Work Environment This is a highly physical role. You must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and team-lift heavier items. The role requires constant bending, twisting, kneeling, and walking on concrete floors for your entire shift. The work is performed in a warehouse setting that is not climate-controlled and may be subject to variations in temperature and noise levels.
