In this energetic position, you will operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move products safely within our distribution center. Your expertise will help maintain optimal inventory flow, support shipping and receiving processes, and uphold the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate sit-down forklifts and Hi-Lo equipment to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse Manage inventory by accurately scanning barcodes using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ensuring proper stock placement Assist with order picking and order fulfillment processes to meet shipping deadlines efficiently Conduct routine inspections of equipment for maintenance needs or repairs, adhering to forklift safety protocols and OSHA standards Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, checking for damages or discrepancies Participate in warehouse distribution tasks such as stacking pallets, manual handling of heavy materials, and organizing storage areas Follow safety standards in production environments by practicing proper manual handling techniques and heavy lifting procedures Experience Proven experience operating various types of forklifts including sit-down forklifts 2 Years of experience required. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management practices Familiarity with warehouse safety standards such as OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols Prior experience in shipping & receiving operations within a warehouse or distribution center setting Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus but not required Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks efficiently
