Connect Staffing is hiring a Warehouse Forklift Operator for a produce and fruit & vegetable distribution center in Los Alamitos, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $20/hr, Monday through Friday on a daytime schedule. In this role, you will operate a forklift to move, stage, and load produce pallets in a refrigerated distribution environment. This is a consistent, steady schedule with no weekend work.

•Produce / Fruit & Vegetable Responsibilities Operate a sit-down forklift to move and stage produce pallets throughout the distribution center. Load and unload inbound and outbound freight from trucks. Use an electric pallet jack to transport pallets to staging and storage areas. Verify pallet counts and product condition during receiving and shipping. Keep work areas clear and organized to maintain safe traffic flow. Follow food safety and cold chain handling procedures for fresh produce. Minimum Requirements 1+ year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or distribution center. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a produce, food distribution, or cold storage environment. Familiarity with inbound and outbound freight loading and receiving processes. Ability to read shipping labels, packing slips, and bill of lading (BOL) documents. Experience using an electric pallet jack for pallet staging and transport. Basic understanding of food safety or temperature-sensitive product handling. Ability to operate a sit-down forklift and electric pallet jack safely.
