In this role you will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth shipping and receiving processes. Your expertise in warehouse distribution and materials handling will drive efficiency and accuracy across all warehouse functions. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, move, and organize inventory. Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy items ( 50 lb to 80lbs) and stacking pallets with precision and care. Manage inventory control through accurate picking, packing, stock replenishment, and updating inventory management software or warehouse management systems like AS400. Ensure compliance with safety regulations by using personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to OSHA standards, and following established safety protocols during all operations. Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against purchase orders, preparing items for dispatch, and maintaining detailed inbound/outbound logs. Support warehouse management in maintaining organized storage areas, performing stock counts, and implementing inventory management best practices. Operate material handling equipment such as forklift trucks, cherry pickers, and load/unload trucks efficiently while prioritizing safety at all times. Qualifications Proven experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts (forklift certification preferred), reach trucks, cherry pickers, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers. Strong understanding of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, stocking, packaging, and inventory management software like AS400 or similar systems. Knowledge of safety regulations such as OSHA standards and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with attention to detail. Knowledgeable with all safety procedures and practices safe operation at all times. Basic math skills for inventory counts and data entry accuracy. Previous experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse management is highly desirable. $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
