Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role involves operating reach trucks and other material handling equipment to efficiently manage inventory, facilitate order picking, and support warehouse distribution activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and accurate movement of goods within the warehouse environment, adhering to safety standards and operational procedures. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to streamlined warehouse operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency. 7am start time M-F open to working Sat Responsibilities Operate reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment in accordance with safety protocols and operational guidelines. Load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse, ensuring proper stacking and storage. Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to maintain optimal performance and safety. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning, and manual counts to ensure accuracy. Assist with order picking, shipping, and receiving processes to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by adhering to warehouse safety standards such as OSHA regulations. Support warehouse supervisors in managing stock levels, conducting cycle counts, and updating inventory records. Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks while following proper ergonomic practices. Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse distribution workflows and improve overall productivity. Follow all safety standards in production environments, including proper use of lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment. Skills Proven experience operating reach trucks, cherry pickers, forklifts (including lift truck and Hi-Lo), clamp trucks, and pallet jacks. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and inventory control procedures. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and weight assessments. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and materials handling techniques. Experience in warehouse management or distribution centers is highly desirable. Excellent manual handling skills with a focus on heavy lifting safety practices. Basic repair skills for equipment maintenance are a plus. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and adherence to safety protocols. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining high productivity levels. This position is integral to maintaining smooth warehouse operations through safe equipment operation, precise inventory management, and efficient order fulfillment.
